GERALDINE. Geraldine is not just a pretty girl’s name; it’s a pretty amazing country village. TWIZEL. Once a hydro town, Twizel is now a thriving holiday resort made popular by its unlimited recreational opportunities. Lake Ruataniwha attracts huge crowds during the rowing season and the rivers attract fly fisherman from all corners of the world. You don't have to be an expert fisherman to catch a 20lb Rainbow trout as many are caught near the salmon farms using basic gear.

FAIRLIE. Fairlie is the “Gateway to the Mackenzie, a small rural community on the inland tourist route between Christchurch and Queenstown.
