Hospice Awareness Week
13 May 2019
19 May 2019
As part of this special week your Hospice would like to invite you to the following free events:
“Let’s talk about dying”
Tuesday 14th May 10.00-11.30am or 5.15-6.45pm at the Trust Aoraki Tennis Centre,
27 Benvenue Ave, Timaru.
Join us for light refreshments and an interactive sharing of wisdom and learning about dying
as we seek to dispel the myths surrounding one of life’s inevitable processes.

“Good grief!  Ideas of ways to support yourself or others in grief.”
Wednesday 15th May 10.00-11.30am or 5.15- 6.45pm at the Trust Aoraki Tennis Centre,
27 Benvenue Ave, Timaru.
People are different and have different needs.  This workshop will have some practical suggestions
and sharing of ideas on how to support ourselves and/or others through grief.
Thursday 11.30am we will host guided tours around Hospice.
At 12 noon we will have the burning of the cards in The Cottage gardens.
These cards have come from the Farmers Tree of Remembrance campaign to
honor those who have died.

“Advanced care planning - your life, your health.”
Thursday 16th May 10.00-11.30am or 5.15-6.45pm at The Cottage, 70 Orbell Street, Timaru
We plan for everything else in life except the end of it.  Join us as we have a relaxed discussion
around advanced care planning with Diane Wilson (Hospice Enrolled Nurse).
Feel free to bring your questions.

If you are interested in attending any of these sessions you can book your space online via our website or call us on 03 6877 670 (we would like to know numbers for catering purposes).
