|Welcome to The Oxford Restaurant Bar & Brasserie, located in The Oxford Building which is a listed 1925 Historic Places Trust gem, in the old heart of Timaru’s CBD. A beautiful corner building, it has embossed 15 foot ceilings on all four floors which was the inspiration behind our branding.
The restaurant has three main areas. The bar, where you can have a glass of good wine or a craft beer on tap. The brasserie, a place where your still part of the buzz, and the dining room, for those who wish to focus on their company and fine food or have a large group celebrating.

Behind the Oxfords vision is a family of polished professionals. Lead by owners Michael and Clarissa Doran, alongside General manager Kirsty Downey and Sous Chef Lewis Yarker, guiding the team to provide a high quality experience from the moment you walk in the door.
Wedding and event venue, Exclusive reservations
• For the prefect intimate wedding, we can cater for 2-100 people. We understand every couple is different, so come and talk to us about your dream wedding. Learn More
• Book the entire restaurant or dining room – the entire restaurant can seat up to 65 people seated or up to 100 for a standing function. Or, choose our dining room seating up to 36 people or up to 60 for a standing function.
• Breakfast/lunch meetings – reserve our dining room for your function. We can set separate tables in the one room, including a board room table or theatre style – talk to us about your needs for that special presentation or celebration.
